A countrys national flag is naturally connected with plenty of symbolism and emotion, and any relevant argument and research naturally tends to be biased. The aim of this work is dual: to provide a well documented research on the evolution of the main Greek national symbol utilizing as many primary sources as possible, while identifying possibly or outright inaccurate elements that have been extensively reproduced.
